SWITCHING

Coming from per-company accounting software?

If you pay a separate subscription for every company you own, you already know the problem. Here’s what changes, and how to move over.

What changes

One price for a portfolio

Instead of a subscription per company, FigureMatic is sold in packs of five entities.

One view of everything

No more switching between company files to see how you’re doing. Combined reports show every entity together.

Transfers entered once

Money between your entities is recorded once and lands in both sets of books, with a daily check that they agree.

Real estate built in

Properties, units, depreciation and Schedule E are part of the product, not add-ons.

How to move over

Step one

1. Add your entities

Create an entity for each LLC or business. Start from a ready-made chart of accounts, including one built for rental property.

Step two

2. Enter opening balances

Post your balances as of the day you switch with a journal entry, so history stays in your old system and your new books start clean.

Step three

3. Bring in your banks

Import recent bank statements from CSV and set up rules for the transactions you see every month.
